Tyler Junior College is offering prospective students the opportunity to learn more about the campus during New Student Orientation events, held during the month of July.
Registration for TJC New Student Orientation continues through July. Sessions will be held on the TJC main campus on Thursday and Friday, July 12-13; Monday and Tuesday, July 16-17; and Thursday and Friday, July 19 and 20.
In addition to learning about TJC’s admissions and registration functions and registering for fall classes, new students can meet student leaders and academic advisers, get a closer look at the school’s 125-plus degree and certificate programs, make connections with fellow students, and learn about student life and organizations.
Parents and family members also are encouraged to attend; and special sessions have been designed specifically with parents in mind, giving them an opportunity to meet and ask questions of faculty and staff. Family members can attend at an additional cost of $40 per person.
Cost is $50 per person, and the fee covers materials plus meals in the TJC dining hall. Students can pay an additional $20 for lodging in TJC residence halls.
Before registering for orientation, students need to have already applied for admission to TJC and met testing requirements.
