Officials at The Brook Hill School are excited to announce Jonathan Kegler will be joining the Brook Hill School as the next Lower School Principal.

Kegler is a dynamic leader who empowers students to become lifelong learners in an ever-changing world.

During the last few months, the Lower School Principal Search Committee has worked diligently and prayed earnestly to find the right person to lead the already thriving and growing lower school.

“It is no easy task to find a visionary leader like Jonathan, and we are thankful to have found someone who not only has a passion for innovation and discovery, but also for cultivating a love for Christ in students,” said Brook Hill, in a press release. “As we interviewed educators and researched their backgrounds and experience, we identified Jonathan as our top candidate - one who possesses the skills and the qualities necessary to lead our lower school into the future.”

Kegler describes himself as a transformational leader who uses “No Box Thinking” to empower and motivate others. He has created learning environments where students at every skill level are challenged and inspired to realize their full potential.

Under his leadership, classrooms are collaborative environments that encourage students to think creatively and solve problems while developing essential skills to thrive in the 21st century.

In his years as a principal, Kegler has led three different schools and received numerous academic distinctions. He currently leads Peete Elementary in Tyler.

Kegler has published numerous books and works as an educational consultant, inspiring principals across the state and around the nation to transform their learning environments and improve student outcomes.

He is currently working towards his doctorate in Transformational Leadership. He also enjoys coaching youth basketball, mentoring young adults and serving as a leader in his church.

Kegler is married to his high school sweetheart Tangela Kegler and they have a fifth-grade son, Jameson.

He was recently named to University of Texas at Tyler’s “30 In Their 30’s,” a part of “The List’’ -- a series presented by UT Tyler to recognize exceptional individuals and organizations devoted to improving our communities and driving this region forward. Honorees are selected by the List of East Texas Editorial Advising Board based on nominations from the community.

Join us in welcoming Jonathan and the Kegler family to Brook Hill. We are looking forward to many opportunities in the coming months for each of you to meet Jonathan and his family.

Jonathan is excited to build upon the great work the Lord has already started at The Brook Hill Lower School.

Please be in prayer for The Brook Hill School and the Kegler family as they transition to Brook Hill this summer.
