Bullard JV girls claim third place finish at Eustace tournament

Like their varsity counterparts, the Bullard Lady Panther junior varsity basketball team traveled their way to compete in the Eustace Basketball Tournament, held Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 30-Dec. 2, at Eustace High School.

In the first game of the tournament, the Lady Panther junior varsity team was matched up against the Grand Saline Lady Indians.

Bullard was able to rely on their strong offensive and defensive efforts throughout the contest to claim victory over Grand Saline, 37-5.

The Lady Panthers were lead to the first round victory by the performance of Keili Richmond, collecting a total of 16 points in the contest.

Other significant contributors for the Lady Panther junior varsity team against the Lady Indians at the Eustace Basketball Tournament included Jensen Shrode, with nine points, including three three-pointers; JC Baird, with five points; Jessica Perez, with three points; Kyndle Schmidt, with two points; and Jordie Martin, with two points.

Bullard Lady Panthers (JV) 25,

Eustace Lady Bulldogs 18, FINAL

In the second round of the Eustace Basketball Tournament, the Bullard Lady Panther junior varsity team squared off against the host team, the Eustace Lady Bulldogs.

Once again, Bullard was able to compile four solid quarters of basketball, using a tough offensive and defensive effort to claim the win over Eustace, 25-18.

Richmond served as the scoring leader for the Lady Panther junior varsity team once again, amassing a total of 13 points.

Other significant contributors for the Bullard junior varsity team against Eustace included Martin, with eight points; Shrode, with three points; and Baird, with one point.

Bullard Lady Panthers (JV) 7,

Martins Mill Lady Mustangs 23, FINAL

For their third contest at the Eustace Basketball Tournament, the Bullard Lady Panther junior varsity squad fought against the Martins Mills Lady Mustangs.

Despite their best efforts to battle against a tough opponent, the Lady Panthers were unable to overcome their opponent, as Martins Mill raced away with the victory over Bullard, 23-7.

The Lady Panthers were led in scoring once again by Richmond, who had a total of four points in the contest against the Lady Mustangs.

Other significant contributors for Bullard against Martins Mill included Martin, with two points; and Shrode, with one point.

Bullard Lady Panthers (JV) 34,

Brownsboro Lady Bears 16, FINAL

In the fourth and final game of the Eustace Basketball Tournament, the Bullard Lady Panther junior varsity team competed against the Brownsboro Lady Bears.

Thanks to a solid effort on both sides of the ball, the Lady Panthers were able to tame the Lady Bears and claim the victory, 34-16, allowing Bullard to finish the tournament in third place.

Shrode held the hotshot for the Lady Panthers in the contest against the Lady Bears, collecting a total of 12 points, including four three-pointers.

Other significant contributors for Bullard against Brownsboro included Martin, with eight points; Caitlyn Colston, with six points, including two three-pointers; Baird, with four points; and Richmond, with four points.
