Panthers fall to Athens, Chapel Hill
Bullard boys’ basketball team dropped two games last week to Chapel Hill and then to Athens.
The Panthers traveled to Athens Friday, Jan. 27 and lost 51-63. Taft Rose broke into the high teens with scoring 19 points against the Hornets.
Tyler Grabski scored nine points for Bullard while Chandler Clark Scott Lowrie both scored seven. Corbin Howard scored five while David Heithoff and Jaime McClenny both found two points for the Panthers.
“We lost the rebound and turnover battle in the second half leading to a come-from-behind win for Athens,” head coach Shane Chambless said.
The Panthers took on Chapel Hill at home Tuesday night, Jan. 24 but came up short losing 65-80.
Bullard played catch-up the whole game after a 10-2 lead taken by Chapel Hill. When the Panthers made any attempt to cut into the deficit, Chapel Hill made big shots making the come-back difficult for Bullard.
