Lady Panthers roll over Rusk, Brownsboro

PHOTO BY RACHAEL ROETEN Bullard’s girl’s basketball team killed Rusk in a Friday night game that demonstrated their dominance over district.
The Lady Panthers took an early lead and never let it get close again ending with a victory of 73-33 closing the first half of district with all wins.
Bullard has only four more district games left in the season sitting nice with a 4-0 record.
Minta Spears earned 31 points for Bullard while Rachel Horton scored a 20 for the night.
Savannah Pinion scored eight for the Lady Panthers while Kylee Nichols earned six. Seven of the Lady Panthers scored with Emily Voyles sinking four points and Chelsie Southerland and Samantha Cummins both found two each.

Bullard also won in a closer contest over Browsboro Tuesday, Jan. 17 away, 55-42.
Spears led the fight against Browsboro with 27 points. Horton broke into the double digits as well earning 12 points for the Lady Panthers.
Nichols scored eight, Heather Anding five, and Cummins two to help lead Bullard to a victory on the road.
The Lady Panthers were scheduled to face Chapel Hill at home Tuesday, Jan. 24 for their Coaches vs. Cancer game followed with Friday’s game in Athens, Jan. 27. Next Tuesday, Jan. 31 is an open game day for Bullard.
