Guard post strong showing on All-State roster
TRAVIS PIRTLE Academic All-State The Brook Hill Guard football team followed up its state title with a strong representation on the TAPPS Division III All-State Football Team.
Eight Guard received offensive honors, and seven were recognized on the defensive side.
In addition to the honors for on- the- field performance, three Guard players also received Academic All-State status: seniors Travis Pirtle and Austin Langemeier and junior Bailey Franklin.
The following players were named to the designated All- State positions:
First Team Offense
Colton Campbell, lineman, senior; Mason Dickey, lineman; junior; Will Weathers, quarterback, junior; Gunner Dorsey, back, senior; Travis Pirtle, receiver, senior; Austin Langemeier, receiver, senior.
Second Team Offense
Bailey Franklin, lineman, junior.
Honorable Mention Offense Garrett Moore, receiver, senior.
