Bullard man released on $1,500 bond

Roberts Roberts A Bullard man was released from the Smith County Jail on $1,500 bond after he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana during a traffi c stop on March 6.

Shayne Michael Roberts, 26, 601 W. Tyler St., was arrested near his home around noon,” Bullard Police

Sgt. Jeff Bragg said.

“At about 12:05 p.m., in the 500 block of W. Tyler Street, Officer (Stuart) Alexander spotted an expired registration sticker on Mr. Roberts’ 2002 Mits ubishi Montero Sport,” he said.

“ A l - exander smelled a strong marijuana odor. Consent was given to search the vehicle, and at that time, he located the steroids and marijuana. Mr. Roberts was then arrested.”

Alexander discovered Deca-Durabolin, an anabolic steroid that is a derivative of Nandrolone, and Sustanon, another oil-based injectable steroid.

Roberts was released the following day.
