BHS de-claws Lady Cougars spikers
TYLER - The Lady Panthers rolled at Grace Community last week with a 3-0 sweep over the Lady Cougars in non-league contest, at the Cougar Dome on the Grace Community campus.
The Lady Panthers volleyball squad got another strong game from Kylee Nichols, Ashlee Shidler and others.
Nichols had four kills, two service aces, eight service points, and one block.
Teammates Ashlee Shidler added five kills and nine digs, and Chelsea Foreman had three kills and three blocks.
Setting the offense. Raiven Whatley had 10 service points including three aces, eight assists, and 12 digs.
Cassaundra Baraaten was also deadly at service accounting for 10 service points and making 10 digs.
“I thought the girl’s played really well today and communicated much better,” said BHS head coach, Kala Morrow. “We are still looking for that consistency in our games and hopefully we can work on that this weekend in the Tyler tournament.”
Bullard will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Mesquite-Poteet.
