All Saints sweeps Lady Guard in non-district match
TYLER – Although later on in the year, the same two teams will matchup in TAPPS district action this past week’s game was just a warm up of sorts.
Last Thursday, All Saints bested the Lady Guard spikers, 3-1 by scores of 25-23, 25-23, 18-25, and 25-12.
As the scores indicate, the first two games were back-and-forth, nail-biters with identical 25-23, Lady Trojans win.
The Lady Guard battled back and took game three as Amy Jo Teague, Mary Caroline Selden, and Alyssa Eden began to turn the Brook Hill momentum.
Selden had a well balanced game with five service aces, 15 assists, and four kills. Teague led the team with seven kills, and Eden added six knock-downs of her own.
Brook Hill plays Carlisle on Monday, and will play T.K. Gorman at home, Thursday, Sept. 2.
