The Bullard Banner News takes a moment to get to know its business community.

Sandra Abbiatti is this week’s featured guest. She owns A Wishing Well at 207 Main St.

Q: Where did you grow up and what brought you to Bullard?

A: I actually grew up in Fort Worth. My grandson was in high school when I moved here, and now my granddaughters are in high school.

Q: What were you known for in high school?

A: Do you remember years ago when Porter Wagner was a columnist? I was the (high school) photographer when he came to speak and I was sneaking up on stage to get his pic- ture, and I fell off.

I was also the Valentine Queen.

Q: Who is your hero?

A: My three daughters and my son because I didn’t raise them, they raised me. I was a single mom.

Q: When you are not working, what do you do?

A: Spend time with my family and friends.

Q: What do you want folks to know about your business?

A: That A Wishing Well is such a personal business. Each person has a personal need — whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, a funeral, a new baby, a wedding — it is very personal and the shop tries to meet the need.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Bullard?

A: The feeling of small community.

Be sure to stop by the Banner for a cup of coffee and to drop off your business card to be included in next week’s drawing.
