The Cherokee County Farm Bureau will sponsor the 2010 Miss Cherokee County Farm Bureau contest and Talent Find contest for Cherokee County Tuesday, Sept. 14.

The scholarship awarded contests will be at county, district and state levels. In the Queen’s contest, girls will be judged on appearance, poise, personality and speech. The Talent Find contest is a talent-based contest and contestants will be judged on audience appeal, performance, appearance and professionalism.

The winner from each contest wins a monetary prize and will represent Cherokee County Farm Bureau in the District contest Saturday, Sept. 25. From the district contest, the winners advance to the state contest in December.

To be eligible for the contests. participants must be between the ages of 16- 19 as of Sept.1, and be a member of Texas Farm Bureau or an immediate family member of TFB. For complete rules, applications are available at the Cherokee County Farm Bureau office in Rusk or call (903) 683- 2576.
