Radio stations KVNE (89.5) and KGLY (91.3) will collect backpacks to benefit PATH, St. Paul Children’s Foundation, Buckner Children and Family Services, and Orphan Outreach, Friday, Aug. 13, at the Bullard Brookshire’s store, according to Leah Coombs, director of community outreach and donor relations.

The Bullard store is one of 27 area Brookshire’s and Super One Grocery stores that will participate in the collection, as well as The Scroll Christian Bookstore, USA Shipping and Tyler Consignment Warehouse.

Collections will help meet the fundamental need for children in East Texas and for orphans in Guatemala.
