he North took a 17- 16 lead with 2:50 to go in the third quarter, on a 40- yard field goal by Grant Pierce of Plano.
But the Godfrey and Erickson Show shined in the fourth quarter. Godfrey tossed a 7-yard TD pass to Auston Shipley of Bastrop to put the South up, 22-17. His pass for two failed. Then he hit Erickson for a 19-yard TD. After Lucas Garcia’s PAT, the South was ahead, 29-17. Early on, the North went up 7-0. After an interception by Godfrey near his own goal line, Jarman Johnson, of Pilot Point, scored on a 3-yard run. Johnson is scheduled to attend Tarleton State. Pierce booted the PAT.
