Adopt a Pet
Hank and Dixie is a brother and sister Great
Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd pair who have made the
Humane Society of East Texas their home for two years.
These big, sweet, lovable dogs are very bonded and must
be adopted together. Experience has proven that fences
do not contain Hank and Dixie; therefore they need lots of
acreage to call home. They will not leave home; they simply
like to roam and investigate their surroundings.
The Humane Society of East Texas is looking for an appropriate
home for them and if found, the adoption fees
will be waived simply to get them out of the shelter and
into a good, loving home. Hank and Dixie need a lot of exercise.
They both walk on a leash and know some commands,
such as “sit, down, high five, low five” They are
housebroken, play well with children and enjoy riding in
a car. Both Hank and Dixie are on heartworm preventive,
are current on their vaccinations, are micro chipped for
identification purposes and have been neutered and
spayed. They will also come with a gift of 30 days of free
pet insurance. For additional information, contact the Humane
Society of East Texas at (903) 597-2471 or check the
Web site at www.hsoet.org.
