A new American Legion Post has been established in Bullard.

The organizational meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at First Baptist Church in Bullard.

American Legion programs assists injured veterans returning from foreign soil and there also are more than 250 programs designed to help teach children and grandchildren the importance and understanding of “Old Glory” and the Constitution of the United States; and scholarships are offered while others will learn first hand what the government is doing and why.

This will be a non smoking, non alcohol post.
