It might be good news for parents, but school age boys and girls in Bullard do not want to think about the start of the 2010-2011 school year.

Officially, there are only 40 days left of summer vacation. The first day of the school year will be Monday, Aug. 23.

Inservice for BISD personnel will be from Monday, Aug. 16, through Thursday, Aug. 19. Friday, Aug. 20, will be a workday for BISD.

The official end of the 2010-2011 school year will be Friday, May 27. Bad weather days have been set aside for Friday, April 22, and Friday, May 13.

After two weeks of school, students will have their first holiday; Monday, Sept. 6, for Labor Day. Other student holidays include Nov. 25-26; Dec. 20-31; and March 14-18. Inservice days also include Oct. 11, Nov. 24 and Jan. 17.

Six weeks periods include Aug. 23 through Oct. 1; Oct. 4 through Nov. 5; Nov. 8 through Dec. 17; Jan. 3 through Feb. 11; Feb. 14 through April 1; and April 4 through May 27.
