Panther hoops camp rocks

M.D. ‘Doc’ Smith

BULLARD - The Bullard High School gymnasium was runnin’-and-gunnin’ last week as second year head coach, Robert Sampson held Panther Basketball Camp.

Sampson and staff divided the 60-plus campers by age group with skill drills, shooting drills, team and oneon one games each day.

“”I was really pleased with the turnout,” Sampson said after the final day. “We had to bring in some extra help to handle the numbers we had and I think all the players had a good time, and they all got better.”

Aiding Sampson on the staff, and coaching the older plyers were Heath Fults, newly-graduated Josiah Rosebury, Lance Anding, Daniel Howard, along with Taft Rose.

Coahing the smaller hoopsters were Koby Greene and Ryan Wood, and Rose filling in as needed.

The camp wound down with the individual groups awarding camp medals, and a sincere ‘thank you’ from Sampson for the support, and fun with the kids.
