City council takes on new look

Two new city council members were sworn in during a ceremony at Bullard City Hall.
Shirley Coe and Rodger Johnson joined as new members of the council, although Johnson has served as a council member in the past.
Stacey Thompson was reelected and also sworn in by Bullard City Secretary Doris Crockett. Council members also voted for Thompson to remain as Bullard Mayor Pro Tem.
The council also includes Jay Abercrombie and Pam Frederick, who were not up for re-election this year.
The city council met Tuesday, June 8, in regular session. The agenda include (but not limited to):
-consider an agreement with the Bullard Community Library to ratify council support;
-consider bid for bar screen at the sewer plant;
-consider bid for roadway improvements on Hickory and Willow streets;
-consider authorizing city manager to purchase dewatering unit for wastewater plant.
