Bullard students graduate from LDS program

The Tyler Texas Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints recently honored 17 East Texas graduates of the Church’s four-year seminary program.

Four Bullard students were among those honored, including Sammy Ferrara, Hillary Kempton, Kali Haskell and Kevin Quiroz.

Seminary students were required to successfully complete an indepth study of the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Church History. Students must also have achieved 80 percent attendance.

Five of the 17 students were honored with the “Master Scripturian Award,” which they received for demonstrating knowledge of 100 scripture verses in all the standard works. Haskell and Kempton were among those honored. Quiroz also was recognized with the “Perfect Attendance Award.”
