The Bullard Independent School District Board Of Trustees agreed to the One- On-One Initiative, which will eventually provide a personal computer for almost every Bullard student, at the regular monthly meeting Thursday, May 17.
The oath of office also was administered to Michael Roy, Place 7, who was reelected to the board, and newly elected trustee Tiffany Kirgan, for Place 6.
Dr. John Alexander was re-elected by trustees to remain president of the board. Karen Padrucco was elected vice president, and Tony Johnson was elected as secretary of the board.
BISD also recognized district champions, state qualifiers and national qualifiers during the meeting. Additionally, Bullard Elementary School received recognition as a Title 1 Distinguished School.
After the board agreed to the One-to-One Initiative, trustees also agreed to purchase Macbooks computers for Bullard Middle School.
On the consent agenda, trustees approved budget amendments; approval of tax resale deed; a resolution of struck-off property; and student accident insurance.
