Huynh named valedictorian, Kim is salutatorian at Brook Hill
BROOK HILL VALEDICTORIAN NGHIA XUAN HUYNH
The 2010 graduation commencement for The Brook Hill School will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Brook Hill Quad.
The 2010 Brook Hill Valedictorian is Nghia Xuan Huynh and the 2010 Brook Hill Salutatorian is Ji Hyun Kim.
Honor graduates include:
Summa Cum Laude (students achieving an overall Brook Hill GPA of 3.75 or above and successfully completing five advanced courses): Jenny Anderson, Soo Young Choi, Heath Dickey, Jamee Eslicker, Andre Huang Hsieh, Nghia Huynh, Hyosan Jung, Ji Hyun Kim, Seung Ah Lee, Young Seo Nho, Anna Mae Stevens, Preston Swink, Kyle Tabler, Sarah Thigpen and Megan Troxell.
Magna Cum Laude (students achieving an overall Brook Hill GPA of 3.75 or above and successfully completing three advanced courses): Aubrey Bothwell, John Clardy, Luke Clardy,

Brook Hill Valedictorian Nghia Xuan Huynh is the son of Huynh Thanh Vu (father) and Ha Thi Yen Nguyet (mother); his host parents are Todd and Brenda Korich; and his boarding parents are Travis and Regenea White.
His school honors and activities include: Graduate with Summa Cum Laude; Co-president of National Honor Society; Technology, Humanities, Science, Orchestra prefect; Volunteer at East Texas Food Bank; Volunteer with Mission Tyler; International Club; and 2nd place State TAPPS Math competition 2008-2009.
He will attend the University of Texas at Austin and he plans to major in electrical engineering (robotic concentration).
Brook Hill Salutatorian Ji Hyun Kim is the daughter of Jong Hyun Kim (father), Seo Hee Lee (mother); and her host parents are Craig and Charlotte Laughton.
Her school honors and activities included: University of Texas Mathematics Competition—2nd place in Pre-calculus, TAPPS Art and Academic State Award — 4th place in calculator, 2007 TAPPS 3A State Champions in Instrumental Music, 2010 TAPPS 3A State Runner-up in Instrumental Music, ACSI Distinguished Christian High School Student Award in Academic
She will attend the University of Texas at Austin and she plans to major in chemical engineering.
