Mayor’s prayer breakfast draws more than 100

MAYOR TERESA ADAMS-WILKS MAYOR TERESA ADAMS-WILKS More than 100 people attended the annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 6, at Brook Hill School.

Bullard Mayor Teresa Adams-Wilks officially proclaimed the day the National Day of Prayer in Bullard.

Following the welcome by Bullard City Manager Larry Morgan, the Presentation of Colors was made by Boy Scouts Troop 366, who also led the Pledge of Allegiance. Erica Eden led the singing of the National Anthem, followed by special music provided by Lauren Alexander.

Donnie Barron presented the Theme Interpretation of Prayer, which was based on Nahum 1:7. The Season of Prayer or prayer offerings were presented by Randy Fitzgerald, who prayed in behalf of the president and national leaders; Dan Cummings, who prayed in behalf of state and local leaders; Scott Brown, who prayed in behalf of families and churches; Shawn Rhoads who prayed in behalf of schools and students; and Tom Terry, who prayed in behalf of members of the military and their families. Barron presented the closing prayer.
