Panther Prowl
Drawing is one of my favorite things to do, though I am still an amateur at it.
I am hoping that will one day change.
I draw the comics for our school’s newspaper and most of the comics I draw have to have people in them. I’m not that good at drawing people yet, so when I draw the comic the only thing that doesn’t look right is the person and everything else looks fine. For me drawing people, either as a cartoon character or not, I have to be able to see what I am drawing or else I won’t be able to draw them.
The only thing that looks right is the face because I am still not used to drawing the bodies, but I am getting better at it thanks to friends. They are able to draw people without having to constantly look at the person they are trying to draw.
My art teacher, Mr. Mac, once said that I had traced a picture we were supposed to draw one day of a person’s face and took it to the back of the room to his light board. Once he saw I hadn’t really traced it he was like “Wow, that’s really good.” I couldn’t stop laughing at him the entire time he did that.
Between art class and my cool, artistic friends, I am slowly learning how to become a better artist.
