The first Paint Bullard Pink Cancer Awareness Day will be today, May 5, at Lolly & Pops, 106 N. Houston St., in Bullard.

Activities are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including a survivor and memory balloon release at 4:30 p.m., at the Gazebo. Balloons can be purchased at Lolly & Pops.

Other businesses also will sponsor activities, including Legends Burger Café, which will offer a free ice cream with the purchase of one ice cream.

Students, faculty and staff at Bullard schools, business owners and citizens are encouraged to wear pink today.
