Panthers ten-runs Bears to remain unbeaten in loop

Bullard sweeps on diamonds in Gladewater

GLADEWATER - Leading 6-0, the Gladewater Bears picked up their only hit of the game in the fifth inning, as the Bullard Panthers kept their district mark untouched at 8-0, with a 10-0 win over the Bears on Tuesday night, last week.

Senior right hander, Nick Rumbelow struck out 12 batters in only five innings on the mound.. One Bear batter got the only walk for Gladewater in the first inning. The only hit was from Seth Thomas in the fifth inning.

Back-to-back walks to Rumbelow and catcher, Steve Langston turned into runs for Bullard in the top of the first stanza.

(Banner Photos by Doc Smith)      (Banner Photos by Doc Smith) Panther first baseman, Tanner Bailey crushed a powerful blast over the left-center field fence, and a 3-0 Panther lead. Bailey just missed a second homer in the fifth inning, but drove in another run with a sacrifice.

Nolan Rose doubled and scored to make it a 4-0 contest, while Rumbelow still had the no-hitter.

Another set of walks started the fifth inning for Bullard, with a couple of Bears errors and a Nolan Rose sacrifice fly plated the eventual game-winner.

Koby Greene, Ryan Wood, and Langston had the only other hits, as the Panthers won with five hits.
