GLADEWATER - The Bullard Lady Panthers scored two runs on passed balls in the eighth-inning, to take a 4-2 win in District 17- 3A action on Tuesday afternoon at Lady Bears Field. Tied at 2-2 in the eighth, Ashlee Shidler walked, and stole second and third base, while Valarie Roberts reached first base on an infield hit

Roberts stole second, before Shidler scored the go-ahead at 3-2, as Kristen Woyt got an infield hit.

Roberts then came in to score some insurance, sliding under a tag after the next pitch, for the 4-2 final score.

Back-to-back walks started the game for Gladewater at the plate, before an RBI-single followed up by a RBI-double by the losing pitcher, Huffman accounted for the early Lady Bear scores.

(Banner Photos by Doc Smith) Winning pitcher, Mandy Gillard slapped a double and scored on a Chelsea Foreman RBI-single, for a 2-1 in the top of the sixth-inning, to tie the game up at 2-2.

As the game progressed, Gillard did soon the mound, striking out seven in the game, and surrendering only four hits.

The win was the second of the season in district play for Bullard (2- 8), while Gladewater drops to 4-6 in league play.
