Toledo picks up second tour win at ET Open
BULLARD – Guatemala native Jose Toledo saved the best for last, shooting a 65 for the best round of the four day event, at the East Texas Open on Saturday at Eagle’s Bluff Country Club, to take top dollar.
Third day leader, Andrew Landry blew a two-shot lead with four holes, to give Toledo his first win on the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series, worth $15,000.
As it turned out, the winning putt came on No. 18 - a 15-footer for birdie, but Toledo had no idea it would be the top money winner.
Toledo now has a professional win in the United States, to go with his victory four weeks ago in the Guatemala Open.
This was Landry’s second tough defeat in less than a year, as he took a setback playing for Arkansas in the finals of the NCAA Golf Championships.
Landry finished with a 1-over 72 on Saturday, after carding back-to-back 66s. Landry was cruising on the front nine and made the turn at 2 under for the round, before shooting 3 over on the back. He tied Australian Daniel Fox for second place after Fox closed with a 66.

Michael Smith was the leader after 36 holes, ending up at 7-under; Mark Walker of Hurst, and Beaumont’s Michael Arnaud finished two shots off the lead.
Smith made five bogeys in a round of 72, after making nothing but pars and birdies the first three days.
