Ceremony to honor Bullard’s Dr. Roper

The Bullard Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 1, at the Mission House Clinic, 307 W. Cain St.

The Clinic will be named after Bullard’s Dr. Marjorie Roper and a new sign will be presented during the ceremony.

The ceremony will be open to the public.

Additionally, the fourth annual Game Day fund-raiser honoring Dr. Roper will be Monday, April 19, at Eagle’s Bluff Country Club.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and play will be a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Registration for games will be at 9 a.m. and lunch is slated to start at 11:30 a.m.

Games will include Bridge, Mah Jongg, 42, cards or dominoes.

Golf prizes will be awarded to the first three teams, the longest drive, closest-to-thepin and “farthest-from-the-hole.”

There also will be a 2010 GMC Sierra Crew Cab pickup from Hall Buick GMC awarded for a hole-in-one. The value of the truck is $31,560.

Sponsorships are available, including Title Tournament Sponsor for $5,000; Eagle Tournament Sponsor for $1,000; Birdie Partnership for $500; Par Partnership for $100; Lunch Sponsor for $500; Drink-Cart sponsor for $250; Scoreboard, Putting Green or Driving Range Sponsor for $200; Candy Bar Hole sponsor for $200; Water Hole Sponsor for $200; and Corporate Sponsor for $100.

Individual entry will be $100, lunch only will cost $25 and game table participation will cost $35 (includes salad bar lunch).
