Coe will run for city position

SHIRLEY COE SHIRLEY COE Shirley Coe filed as a candidate for the Bullard City Council.

Coe, 39, is a board and founding member of the Bullard Economic Development Corporation, and is a vice president and manager of the Central Loan Documentation Department of Austin Bank in Whitehouse.

“My focus is not only for our city to grow and be prosperous for residents, but also for businesses,” Coe said.

Coe and her husband, Jody, have owned and operated businesses in Bullard.

“I have an average citizen’s prospective,” she said.

Coe has experience in city and county government and was an administrative assistant to the mayor and county judge while living in the Crockett area.

As a board member of BEDCO, Coe was involved in helping establish programs for the half-cent sales tax fund.

“We’re starting to see what we can do with the funds,” she said.

Coe also is a paralegal and has 22 years of experience in real estate law and business management. She is a member of and a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Bullard.

She and her husband have three children, including Cody, who is 19, and Austin and Heather, who are students in Bullard schools.

Following her family and church activities, Coe said her focus is on Bullard and its future.
