The Brook Hill Middle School Orchestra performed Wednesday, Feb. 3, for the Tyler Public Library Children’s Story Hour. The orchestra performance gave the pre-school through first-grade children exposure to orchestra music, string instruments and a musical preparation for their attendance at the East Texas Symphony Orchestra’s presentation of “Beethoven Lives Upstairs.” The Brook Hill Middle School Orchestra’s performance included an arrangement of Beethoven’s famous “Symphony No. 9” and a hands-on, meet the instruments opportunity for the young children.
