They estimated the cost of that treat and used that money to buy TexasHope CDs as their mission project. TexasHope 2010 is a project sponsored by the Texas Baptist General Convention whose goal is to reach all Texans with the “Good News” by Easter 2010. A CD was produced for the cost of $1 each, with the Gospel of John, the way to know Jesus and other uplifting messages. The third graders decided this would be an excellent mission project for their class and started collecting money right away. The final amount raised was $136 which was matched by an anonymous donor for a final total of $272 for TexasHope 2010. The CDs are available.
