The Smith County Online Auction Program began in July of 2008 and has since generated more than $91,000 through the sale of outdated and surplus equipment to the public online.

Through the Online Auction Program, the County has sold surplus vehicles, technology and even a camper-trailer in five separate auctions. Since its inception, the County has collected $91,500 in online sales.

Smith County Online Auctions are open to the public and are publicized through newspaper notices and regular Commissioners Court meeting notices.
