FIVE YEARS AGO - Th e Broo k Hil l Lady Guard won first-place in the Fruitvale Tournament with wins over Big Sandy, Fruitvale, and Yantis in the championship game. Team members included Jenise Harris, Crysatl Lucio, and others, including all-tournament selections Shellby Rozell, and Abby Lund.

TEN YEARS AGO- Emily Breedlove and David Bolden were ‘Panthers in the Spotlight’ back in the Feb. 2, 2000 edition. Bolden and Breedlove were mainstays on the respective basketball teams. Bolden scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a 62-39 win over Tatum. Breedlove scored eight points and snagged nine rebounds in a 39-26 loss to White Oak.
