Church to distribute food
      Carpenter’s Cross Baptist Church will distribute food boxes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every second Thursday of the month to low income and emergency/crisis households. Quilters move to new location
      Quilters Guild of East Texas meeting will move to the First Baptist Church, South Campus, Thursday, Feb. 11. The church is located at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 69 and F.M. 2813. Driving south on Broadway, the entrance is ¼ mile south of Texas Toll Road 49. The other entrance off F.M. 2813 is marked by three flagpoles.

      Woodman of the World will host a Valentine Dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the Woodman of the World Family Life Center, 1800 College Drive, in Jacksonville. The dance will be free, but donations will be accepted. The event will be open to the public.

Three ejected in one-vehicle wreck
      Three people were ejected from a truck in a two-vehicle collision late Thursday night on Texas Highway 155 in Noonday. Department of Public Safety investigators on scene said all three individuals were taken to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. The severity of their injuries was unknown. The driver of the other vehicle declined ambulance transport, investigators said.
