Bryant and BISD board continues coaching search
The search for the next Bullard football coach is a hot topic among Panther football fanatics, and the job of filtering through more than 120 applicants is a job that is not taken lightly by any means, said Bullard ISD Superintendent, Keith Bryant.
“We were pleased to have received so many qualified and eager applicants for the position, and we think that the BISD has a lot to offer the right candidate,” Bryant began.
“We are currently interviewing, and we are not really going to set things up so there is any type of final candidates list or anything like that,” Bryant added.
“We feel like we have the right man in hand with the applications we have; we just need to find him, and when we do, it will be the perfect fit for what we as a school district have set as standards, for what we are demanding.
“We would like to have someone in place by the end of this month, with the district realignment coming up in February,” Bryant added, “but if we are not 100 percent by then, we will take the time needed to find the perfect fit, for what we hope is a fruitful relationship.”
The position is being filled, after former head football coach, Jim Taylor, was told he was being reassigned following this past football season. The Panthers went 1-9 on the year.
