Christmas is one of my favorite holidays of the year because I get to wrap the presents (except my own).

Wrapping presents is fun to do, and you can get creative with it like putting a small box inside a bigger one and putting that box in another big one until you have three huge boxes for one gift card to Walmart.

You can tease someone by putting a VCR in a DVD player box (like my parents did to me a few years ago). One year my grandparents made up a scavenger hunt for me that sent me all around the house for my present which was in the shed the whole time. This year my dad really irritated me by wrapping one of my presents so well that I couldn’t get it open. So I had to get a knife to cut all the tape he put on it off.

I like to wrap the presents with different colored ribbons that have curls and tie them in bows to make them look nice.

I also love to watch people unwrap their presents because most people tend to just rip off the wrapping paper and throw it onto the ground with an excited gleam in their eyes — only to find that it’s just another sweater and then they are not that excited anymore but still have that fake smile and say that it is just what they wanted. Others slowly and carefully undo each fold just because it was wrapped nicely and they don’t want to tear the paper until they see just enough of the present to tell it is what they wanted and they yell “oh my god!” and tear off the remaining paper in a frenzy.

Another reason why I love Christmas is because not only is it a time to spend with family, but it is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and most people have lost sight in that and all they care about are the presents.
