After several setbacks due to rain, the baseball and softball renovation projects continue as the old scoreboard is ready to be laid to rest in the picture at top. Above, the front-end loader backs it up and packs it in as the new turf for the baseball field literally unfolds itself over the new, special red dirt which is the base for all great baseball surfaces. A new scorebaord was recently approved to accomidate the new field which should make Panther Field, our own ‘Field of Dreams’ for years to come, also attracting playoff possibilitites.
