TYLER – The Bullard Lady Panthers were pretty consistent throughout the game, en route to a 50-36 win over a very athletic, Jacksonville Fightin’ Maidens.

According to head coach, Greg Gay, there was a little lull but the best yet overall.

“I felt like it was the best game we’ve played so far,” said Gay, “but I wasn’t real pleased with how we finished some things up.

“We did a great job of getting the looks at the shots we wanted, we just need to finish those shots off, but I was really pleased with the effort.”

Sophomore point guard, Minta Spears led to a 22-point lead, burying three treys as the Lady Panthers cruised to the third win of the year.

Spears scored 17 points to lead the Lady Panthers (3-1), as they play Diboll on Tuesday night. Christina Hatten busted two, 3-pointers of her own to finish up with eight points.

After Jessica Hunter scored four straight points for Jacksonville to tie the game at 10, Bullard scored 13 of the next 15 points. The Lady Panthers then took a 25-15 lead into the intermission.

Junior, Christina Hatten had the pair of threes of her own, and Ashley Ricci added another nine points and seven rebounds for Bullard.
