The 12th-grade United States History class from The
Brook Hill School recently traveled to Mississippi as
a part of their studies of the Civil War. Each year,
students in Steve Dement’s class visit the locations
of the Texas’ troops on the Vicksburg battlefield, then
the group travels to Natchez where they enjoy dinner
at Monmouth Plantation. The tour concludes with a
visit to Frogmore Plantation, a working cotton plantation
since the early 1800s.
