An AARP Driver Safety Class is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, in Tyler.

There will be another class from 1-5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, also in Tyler. The refresher course is designed for people over 50, but anyone with a valid Texas driver’s license may attend. AARP membership is not required, however there is a reduction in the fee if you are an AARP member. The course covers such topics as effects of aging and medications on driving skills, driving rules and crash prevention.

The fee is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. Those who complete the course may be eligible for a reduction in their automobile insurance. To register for the Dec. 7 course, call (903) 752-0240 and for the Dec. 14 course, call
