Walker, Jones, and White shine for Texas East Gymnasnics

Shelbee Walker of Bullard and Chrystalyn Jones and Mckenzie White of Flint were
among several Texas East Gymnastics Level 4 team members who competed at the
North State Championships recently in Euless.The team took fourth-place against
some of the toughest competition in the state at this level. Anna Hiatt of Tyler took
home top honors by winning the All-Around with a score of 37.975 and also winning
first place on vault and floor. Another standout at this competition was Rachel
Fulgham of Whitehouse. She won vault and bars as well as the All-Around with a
score of 37.85.At the event, Walker scored a 9.45 on vault; Jones placed first on floor
with a 9.525 and also placed second in the All-Around with a 37.275; White scored a
9.525 on vault;Hadyn Jennings from Tyler who scored a 9.8 on the vault and won second;
Macy Parsley from Whitehouse was fifth in the All-Around with a 36.475;
Michelle Potter from Tyler was sixth on floor with a 9.275; Julia Conflitti of Tyler
scored a big 9.4 on vault; Christian Wright of Tyler scored a 9.425 on floor and took
home fourth; Tori Atwood from Frankston was the vaulting champion in her age
division with a 9.775 and won third in the All-Around with a 37.85; Hadley
McCormick from Tyler scored a 9.35 and won third on bars; Emily Pryor from
Frankston scored a 36.80 in the All-Around and placed fourth; Juliana Travis from
Jacksonville placed fifth on bars with an 8.925; Sydney Brunette from Tyler placed
fifth on vault with a 9.375; and Blake Briscoe scored a 9.250 on beam and placed second
and also placed third in the All-Around with a 37.20. Texas East Gymnastics is
coached by Martin and Stacy Parsley, Beth Wilcox, Shelley Dalene and Courtney
Harris.The team will compete in the TEG’s Rose city classic that will be at All
Saints’ Brookshires Auditorium in March where they will likely debut Level 5 routines.
