BULLARD - Two football players stronger, the Bullard Panthers tried to run with the Mount Pleasant Tigers but could not keep up the pace in a 79-53 setback in the Panthers home opener last Saturday afternoon.

Panther post, Marquez Franklin had an immediate impact on the Panthers leading the team in scoring with 22-points, while Sydney Lawson added a bucket.

It was the 28-points from Montego Armstead and the failure to make the long 3-pointers that did the Panthers in.

The Tigers (2-0), shot to a 42-26 halftime lead and never looked back as they remain perfect on the season. The Panthers drop to 0-2 on the seasonwith a battle at Pine Tree on Tues., Dec. 1
