Fourteen Key Club members and two sponsors attended Key Club’s eighth annual Fall Rally at Six Flags over Texas in October.
“My favorite part was the ‘Key Club Squares’ game and winning the coupons for convention,” junior Suzanne Warden said. “I beasted it up!”
Warden was a contestant in the game at the rally and was asked a series of questions over different Key Club criteria. “Key Club Squares” is similar to the popular game show “Hollywood Squares”. Each school was put into either the X team or the O team. One person from each X team and O team chosen for the round picked a Key Club member from inside a square on the tic-tac-toe board and either had to agree or disagree with the answer that person gave to the question asked.
“Suzanne won an $80 gift certificate for $20 off four registrations to district convention,” Key Club sponsor Tabitha Hippler said. “Of course Suzanne will benefit from one of those, but we have decided to set some guidelines (hours, etc.) for who will qualify for the other three ‘coupons.’”
