Area students named to Beta Alpha Psi Chapter
The University of Texas at Tyler has named 34 students and alumni as charter members of the Mu Kappa Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi.
The chapter successfully completed its petitioning process and, in October, was officially installed as the 285th chapter of the international organization.
Inductees included Jimmy Thorne of Flint, Paul Parker of Frankston, Brandon Tatum and Brittany Traylor of Jacksonville and Valerie Ramsey of Whitehouse.
Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for financial information students and professionals. Members must be a junior or senior majoring in accounting, finance or information systems; maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0; and be of good moral character. Members and pledges participate in various professional and service activities to enhance their skills and gain knowledge of financial information topics and professional opportunities.
