The Bullard High School Speech and Debate Team invited 13 schools to their annual fall speech and debate tournament Saturday, Oct 10.

The tournament offered CX debate, LD debate, PFD debate, informative and persuasive extemporaneous speaking, Prose and Poetry.

Winning the CX Debate division was the team of N. McCray/Wilhite from Hallsville High School; the LD Debate winner was Cornish from Hallsville; and Public Forum Debate winners were Jenkins and Hughes from All Saints Episcopal School.

The following Bullard students placed:

Minta Spears placed second and Kelsey Moses placed fifth in Poetry Interpretation; Olivia Levoy placed fourth in Informative Speaking; and Heather Berryhill placed fifth and Lorri Farrow placed seventh in Prose Interpretation.

Bullard also will host a complete UIL Academic meet in January.
