Genny Wood Memorial Art Show, Sale slated Nov. 7

The Genny Wood Memorial Art Show and Sale will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Bullard First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 204 S. Rather.

The Brook Hill School stringed orchestra will perform during the show.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the Mission House of Bullard.

Wood was an artist and an art teacher in East Texas for more than 17 years before she died from cancer in 2008.

More than 45 artists will participate in the show and sale. Co-chairs for the event are Katherine Bunce, Gretta Faulkinberry and Sharon Starwalt.
