These Bullard Freshmen had last week off, but get back to work on Thursday when they travel to play at Chapel Hill. GLADEWATER - The Bullard freshmen team put up a battle against the Galdewater Bears, but came up short, 21-6 this past week at Jack Murphy Stadium last Thursday.

The Bears scratched the board first for a 7-0 lead after one quarter.

The Panthers however fought back to score on a a 91-yard scoring toss from quart Michael Coyne to Trey Larson, for a 7-6, Bears lead at intermission.

The Bears added on two second half TD’s to cap off the win.

The Panthers did not go down without a heart-felt effort in the second half as J.T. Moss gave the Panthers some second half spark with a 60-yard kick-off return as well as making several key stops defensively.

The junior varsity and freshmen teams will close out their road games traveling to Chapel Hill on Thursday. The freshmen play at 5 p.m. and the junior varsity set to follow at 6:30 p.m.

The two Panthers sub-varsity squads will play host to Spring Hill, Thurs., Nov. 5 in the season finale.
