Lady Panthers in the thick of playoff race

The Bullard Lady Panthers split their District 17-3A games last week, losing to league leader, Spring Hill, 3-1, and taking out Gladewater in three straight games at home last Friday afternoon

The Lady Panthers (23-13, 5-4) ended their regular season in Gilmer on Tuesday night

Bullard is in a free-for-all with Chapel Hill (5-4), and Tatum (4-5), for the top three playoff spots with one game left

The junior varsity and freshmen teams will be playing their finales on Tuesday at Buckeye Gymnasium with the freshmen starting at 5 p.m., the junior varsity at 6 p.m. and the varsity set for a 7 p.m. first serve

Spring Hill 3, Bullard 1

BULLARD - The battle of Lady Panthers came down to the service line and Spring Hill put on a clinic winning by scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-13, while Bullard took game two with a 18-25 score.

Spring Hill, (27-10; 9-0) got a stellar service performance from Laura Bernaldez, Megan Cameron, and Sha’ McDowell coming from 42-points at service.

Nikki Coleman had 10 lills, 21 digs and three aces in the loss. Valarie Roberts as is the usual case, mirrired Coleman’s efforts with 11 kills, 20 digs, and

Heather Camp had 29 assists in the game, while Brittany Glover (five kills, four aces).
