The Cherokee County Farm Bureau annual County Meeting was Saturday, Oct. 17.

About 300 members attended the meeting and fried fish dinner. Jodie Smith, Texas Farm Bureau Field Coordinator, was the speaker for the evening and she spoke about Proposition 11, which is on the ballot for the Nov. 3 election. She also addressed benefits available to Farm Bureau members and gave a run down of Cherokee County Farm Bureau’s 2009 activities.

Jacksonville Mayor Robert Haberle welcomed guests and Representative Chuck Hopson addressed the members.

Steele’s Feed & Seed, Bobby Myers, Austin Bank, Carmella Hawkins, Musick’s Flower Shop, James Blankinship, J & J Jewelry, Texas National Bank, Cherokee Warehouse, Legends Old Time Burgers, Whataburger, Colorspot and Southland Feed & Supply were among those that donated door prize items for the event.
