Red, White & Blue festival set for Nov. 7

The Red White & Blue Festival sponsored by the Bullard Area Chamber of Commerce will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in downtown Bullard.

A parade will kick off the festival events. Applications to enter the parade are available online at wwwbullardtexaschamber (click on redwhiteandblue).

Check in for the parade will be in front of the new Elementary School, and participants will line up down Panther Blvd. and School House Road, as needed. Vehicles than need to be parked will use the side parking lot of the Elementary School.

The parade will follow this route:

Proceed down Panther Blvd., turn right onto School House Road. Turn right onto F.M. 344, proceed toward downtown, go through downtown and turn right onto Phillips Street. Turn in front of the city hall building. Stay on Phillips until you get to Tyler Street, where participants will take a right. Stay on Tyler Street until School House Road, where at that time, as long as the parade has passed that point, participants may turn left onto school house and go back to the Elementary School.

To apply, fill out the form, which includes name, address, name of business to be represented, phone number and if a float or other parade activity is planned. Forms may be mailed to Larry Melhart, 904 W. Main, Ste. A, Bullard, TX 75757 or faxed to (903) 894- 4210.

Other festival activities will include a carnival, a petting zoo, vendors, a car show, live music, a mechanical bull and more.

The keynote speaker will be Joan Hallmark of KLTV, known for her Freedom Fighter series, along with her extensive experience in the television industry.

The festival will feature a parade, live music and other entertainment, vendor booths and more.
